Shipping, Returns, & Warranty

Shipping

  • We only ship within Canada.
  • All items that can be shipped via regular post will be shipped via UPS or Canada Post, depending on your location and shipping choice you select, unless there are exceptions as noted below.
  • Regular post items are shipped within 1 to 2 business days after successful purchase.
  • PO Box shipments will be sent via Canada Post.
  • Gazelle items have a promotional shipping rate and are limited to 2 tents/gazebos per order and 1 accessory box. Our country is beautiful and vast, and unfortunately in some cases shipping costs can be large in very remote locations, in those cases we reserve the right to charge you full shipping. This is a very rare occasion and we will work with you to get the best outcome.
  • Gazelle items with promotional shipping will be shipped via the courier of our choice.
  • Items paid for through PayBright under $1000 require 24 hour hold prior to shipping/pickup. Items paid for through PayBright over $1000 require 48 hours hold prior to shipping/pickup.
  • Items that are oversized and require freight are no longer being shipped as of August 2021. These items include but are not limited to Roof Top Tents, Cargo Carriers, etc. Freight-sized items must be picked up in person at our store, OR can be delivered within the Greater Toronto Area (please choose this option at purchase if you would like it).
  • These policies can be changed/updated at any time and with no notice, by Red Bear Outdoors.

Returns

  • We accept returns of new, regularly priced, unused products in their original packaging and condition, within 14 days of purchase/delivery date, and with receipt.
  • Returns of items and order cancellations that cost more than $50 and are purchased through a credit card will be subject to a 3% merchant fee return cost, this is something imposed on us by the credit card processors.
  • Returns of items and order cancellations funded through PayBright will be subject to a $30 return cost, this is the PayBright fee for cancelling a loan contract.
  • Customer is responsible for arranging shipping – and covering related shipping cost- of item(s) back to our store.
    • If you would like, we can assist by purchasing a return label on your behalf (thus saving you money with our courier volume discounts) and subtracting the cost from the refund.
  • Original shipping costs will not be refunded.
  • Refunds can take 5-7 business days after receipt of product and are based on the condition of the product after full inspection.
  • If the product is found to have been used or altered in any way or missing parts upon inspection, either a partial refund or no refund will be provided depending on the condition.
  • Any items that are out of the original packaging are subject to a restocking fee of at least 15%, understand that this item will need to be resold as open box.
  • A Return Authorization number must be included on box in order for refund to be issued. Please email us via info@redbearoutdoors.ca for a Return Authorization number, more details, and to initiate the return process.

Discounted Item Return

Only regularly priced items can be returned/refunded. Unfortunately items discounted for any reason cannot be returned/refunded, and are considered final sale.

This includes but not limited to:

  • Open box
  • Demo sales
  • Some sales when indicated as such
  • Promotional group discounts

Standard sales posted on the website are excluded from this.

Installed Item Return

If you are getting a roof top tent, crossbars, bed / roof rack, or any other item installed by Red Bear Outdoors, please note that the item will be considered as “opened and used” at that time. We will show you the item prior to beginning installation to ensure you are happy with it, this is the last opportunity to receive a full refund. Once the installation begins the item can no longer be brought back to a state of “unused original packaging” and thus cannot be returned.

Installations are fairly invasive to the products and once installed we can no longer treat them as brand new for any future customer. Basically imagine how you would feel if you received a product that just came off someone else’s vehicle. In some rare scenarios the item can be returned, there will be a minimum of a 15% restocking fee.

Warranties are provided and coordinated directly by the manufacturers. Please refer to their respective websites, linked below, for more details.
